Happy Tuesday Wholetonians!
I am so excited to share my heart with you today! With all of the negative news we are surrounded with in the media, I love being able to broadcast a little uplifting information to you each week. Last week I had the honor of spending some time with Dr. Oz and his amazing team from his foundation, HealthCorps, in NYC. HealthCorps, is dedicated to helping young people in schools across America, adopt a healthy lifestyle while they are young.
“Educating America’s youth in wellness at school not only changes their performance and quality of life, it directly influences their families and communities.” – Dr. Oz, Founder & Chairman, HealthCorps.
I was overwhelmed with the education, love, and care that this amazing charity provides for kids with health concerns, (I met some recipients suffering from autism that deeply touched my heart!) regardless of their social economic environment. I also spent some quality time with members of the HealthCorps board of directors and sponsors, and I can say that Dr. Oz has assembled a team that is personally changing the lives of 2,303,825 teens to date, in 22 states!
People watch television and form their opinions of people they have never met. I can tell you personally that Dr. Oz and his team are the most giving, self sacrificing people I have had the honor of knowing…and, most of them are volunteers. And amazingly, you may have never heard of HealthCorps, until today.
Growing up, my mom instilled in me the importance of keeping “good company.” I have found that we are often defined by the company we keep, thus, I have made it a point to surround myself with great people who share my core values, and truly believe that it is more blessed to give than it is to receive.
Which brings me to another extraordinary company, run by a beautiful man, that exists to give. I want to introduce you to my amazing friend Stephen Ezell and MyGreenFills. Recently, I had the eye-opening experience of getting to know the team behind MyGreenFills – an amazing company with the MASSIVE mission to change the way we think about and do our laundry, as well as improve the lives of an incredibly neglected community. MyGreenFills is nothing but good news. Here is just a little about their mission:
- They provide full time jobs to deaf women through a ministry in Jamaica
- They set up homeless shelters and rehabilitation homes with laundry products, so that while they are being rehabilitated, they have the dignity of clean clothes
- They partner with launder mats that donate their washers to financially struggling families by sending them all laundering products, free of charge
- Believe it or not, children in impoverished areas wearing dirty clothes, have a 10x greater chance of being bullied
- All MyGreenFills products are 100% non-toxic and they send refills so you use the original containers, so they are truly, Eco-friendly
From the beginning, I promised you I would never tell you about something that I don’t believe in, and most importantly…I have to actually use it myself! My wife Lillian and I do our best to keep our home clean with non-toxic products, as well as EMF free. Lillian absolutely loves MyGreenFills laundry products and my clothes smell great!!!
So as you can see from this email, I am truly, a good company, that keeps good company! Today I just mentioned two (2) of several great companies that I have the honor of working with, and I will occasionally highlight them, and share their mission with you. I can’t thank you enough for supporting me, and I wanted you to know that like yourself, there are MANY of us out there that are doing our best to make this world a better place.
Please watch this short video from my friend Stephen Ezell, it really touched my heart, and I believe it will touch yours as well.
Together, dear Wholetonians, we are making a difference! You are the best company a company ever had…you make me a better person, God bless you!
